This felt like someone dropped a gritty New York rock show right into Musikfest Café. Loud, chaotic, ridiculously talented and SO much fun to photograph. Definitely one of those shows where you can't stand still.

First impression?
How did Musikfest Café suddenly feel like an underground NYC rock club? The whole show had this gritty, almost chaotic energy that was such a cool contrast with the venue.
Most fun to photograph?
The movement. Nobody was just standing there playing. There was always something happening, and the whole band had so much personality that I could point my camera pretty much anywhere and find a shot.
Favorite shot?
The water spit. 😂 The singer took a mouthful of water and sprayed it out over the crowd, and somehow I actually caught it. Those are the moments that make shooting live music so much fun.
What surprised you?
How much I got into the music. Brass instruments playing Tool, Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave and everything else shouldn't work as well as it does... but it REALLY does. They're insanely good musicians.
Would you shoot them again?
100%. Give me cool outfits, brass instruments, people flying around the stage and water being spit into the crowd and I'm there.
