Three Shows + A Few Photos After | Three Different Stages
I've photographed Lydia three times now, from Levitt Pavilion to the Mauch Chunk Opera House and Musikfest. Somewhere along the way, I also got the chance to take some portraits after the shows, which might have been my favorite part. I love her voice, her music and her whole style, and I have a feeling this won't be the last time she's in front of my camera.

What made you notice her the first time?
Her whole vibe. I really liked her voice and her music, but she also has a style that makes her really fun to photograph. By the end of that first show at Levitt, I was already hoping I'd get to shoot her again.
Favorite of the three shoots?
Honestly, the photos after the shows. I love concert photography, but I'm realizing how much I love getting an artist away from the stage for a few minutes and creating something more editorial.
Best location so far?
Under a bridge in Bethlehem with Lydia and the band. We found this really cool spot after the show and just started taking photos. No stage lights or crowd... completely different from shooting the performance, and SO much fun.
What's different when you've photographed someone before?
It gets more comfortable. I'm starting to know what photographs well with Lydia and her band, and they're comfortable having me around with a camera. It feels less like I'm just documenting a show and more like we're actually making something.
Still thinking about...?
Maybe photographing her on tour someday. My goal is to tour with an artist as their photographer once I'm old enough, and I have a really good feeling about Lydia. So... I'm putting that one out into the universe.
